Primary Purpose To supervise depot staff, deputising for the depot manager in his or her absence ensure all polices and procedures are complied with. 

Main Responsibility Ensure effective communication and supervision of all Yard Operatives and Drivers in order to maintain a safe, efficient and cost effective running of the Depot.Comply with the company’s policies and procedures and key area’s are Personnel, Heath & Safety. Quality, Stock Control, Transport and Depot Expenditure & Productivity.

Qualifications & Experience IT LiterateHealth and Safety Supervision & Management. Performance Management Skills
Counter Balance Forklift Truck License
Supervisor qualification such as NVQ or IOSH
Warehouse or Yard based supervision

Primary Purpose

Working as part of a small generalist HR Team providing support to employees and managers in respect of all HR matters.

Main Responsibility


Provision of a service to the business that adds value through employee recruitment, retention and development activities.

Qualifications & Experience CIPD part or fully qualified, with a minimum of 3 years experience within a busy generalist HR role

IT Literate; Word, Excel, PowerPoint - Advanced skill level Competent administrator, with proven track record Experience of and familiar with best recruitment practices Experience of understanding and interpreting legislation into practical actions. Detail conscious and a strong completer/finisher Adaptable and flexible in terms of approach and hours of work

Able to plan and organise work with the self-sufficiency and enquiry of mind to get results and proactively drive improvements. The professional maturity to deal with information and people on confidential and sensitive issues. Whilst carrying out a HR generalist role there is an element of T&D including design and delivery of internal courses and associated projects to facilitate the development of individuals and teams.
Specific responsibility for supporting recruitment activity and ensuring the departments administration is effectively and efficiently provided. 
In addition, the successful applicant will provide confidential HR support to the HR Manager in a wide range of organisational development activities.  Closing Date 18.05.12
