The special manufacturing process used in the production of TuffTrak® delivers maximum strength whilst retaining a high level of flexibility. The surface of the mat incorporates a unique chevron traction system which gives TuffTrak® an unrivalled level of grip in all weather conditions making it the fast and safe way forward.

Efficient Installation

Mabey Hire Services offer TuffTrak® on a supply and install basis using our own experienced installation teams or alternatively for hire only with installation completed onsite by your own teams.

Simple and fast to install, TuffTrak® are connected with a simple steel strap and ’drop in’ bolt system as standard. There are also a range of none standard connectors, including high tensile, hi-viz ’flex’ straps for undulating ground conditions, delivering increased safety and maximum stability where necessary.

No ground preparation is required when utilising TuffTrak as a temporary roadway allowing quick and efficient installation on site and at 40mm thick there is no need for vehicle ramps.

Adaptability is key

Flexible to the unique demands of each project, TuffTrak® can be installed in a different variety of layouts. It can be used to create single-track or double track roadways measuring 2.5m, 3m, 5m, or 6m in width or alternatively they can be used to form large working areas, pads or provide for onsite parking.

TuffTrak® is reversible the two sides having distinctly different surfaces; one designed specifically for vehicular access and the other to provide a safe walkway for pedestrians.

As with all temporary access and ground protection solutions, it is advised that TuffTrak® be connected at all times with metal or flex connectors.

Unrivalled Durability

TuffTrak® is virtually indestructible, made from tough 40mm thick high density polyethylene (HDPE) the mats are unbreakable to loadings up to 150 tonnes and provide tough durable working areas for heavy plant and machinery.

Weather proof, water and chemical resistant, resistant to acids, alkalis & solvents and usable in sub-zero temperatures TuffTrak® is ideal for use in even the harshest weather conditions and environments with no reduction in performance.

Anti Slip Surface

The TuffTrak® unique ‘mud dispersing’ chevron traction-surface, which actively dispels mud while vehicles traverse, is the most effective on the market and provides a consistent mat performance should weather or ground conditions rapidly deteriorate helping to avoid related health & safety issues.

The engineered chevron surface design delivers ultimate grip, reduces sideways movement or slippage and delivers optimal forward traction for heavy plant, machinery and vehicles.

Cost efficient

Unlike aluminum road mats TuffTrak®, which is manufactured using 100% recycled high density polyethylene (HDPE), can be deployed in areas of high theft risk eliminating the need for mat specific 24 hour site security. The solid, one-piece construction and durability of the product make it less prone to damage than the alternatives. As they are lighter to transport than the conventional aluminum and wooden alternatives TuffTrak® also enjoys lower transportation costs to site.

Green Appeal

TuffTrak® is the eco friendly option. It is made from 100% recycled material and is itself 100% recyclable, reducing landfill waste.

High density polyethylene is non-conductive and chemically inert and therefore non polluting which makes it ideal for eco sensitive and heritage sites. Use of the mats helps avoid severe rutting to environmentally sensitive areas and also property, heritage and environmental damage

Unique Flexibility

Specially designed to flex under loading without damage, TuffTrak® has an inbuilt memory which allows it to return to its original profile once loading is removed.

Providing highly efficient weight dispersal on very soft or boggy ground TuffTrak® is suitable for use on almost all types of terrain, soft undulating ground and is perfect for use on unprepared surfaces.
