We have the largest network of engineers of any of our competitors. Based out of 9 Depot locations our engineering team provides expert technical support to clients throughout the UK on a diverse range of projects, through from pre-tender stages to onsite visits where requested.

Mabey Hire Services engineers work in close conjunction with our clients on projects that require extra skill in conception and design than contained within our client’s own capabilities. These projects can range from relatively simple jobs to highly bespoke solutions on unusual projects, be it structural support, bridging or any other solution that is required.

Each geographical location can have its own specific working requirements, as our engineering teams are unique being based expansively throughout the UK, they have built up detailed working knowledge of their local environments and bring this extra experience, insight and eye for detail to each project they work on. Because of the multiple locations of the engineers we are also able to offer faster response times.

The Mabey Hire Services engineering teams have also provided solutions for a variety of requirements outside of the construction industry including providing equipment to the Television industry and the film industry for Oscar winning features.

All Mabey Hire Services Engineers have extensive practical experience gained within the construction industry, and use state of the art computer systems for drafting and design to maintain our stringent standards and to expedite the response rate to clients.

Health and Safety is at the heart of our business, both externally onsite for every one of our clients and internally for every employee, in every division, in every task.

For all our clients, we ensure that all equipment is safety and quality checked prior to every hire despatch and upon every off hire. We ensure all equipment is subject to legal testing with a regularity that exceeds what is required by law, to meet our own self-imposed high benchmark and equally for the heightened reassurance and safety of our clients.

We also provide advice and guidance on using our equipment, via data sheets, user and installations guides to both the main office of every hire and also to the onsite ground crew, to allow for comprehensive risk assessments to be completed.

We are OHSAS 18001 Health and Safety accredited, we have also been awarded the ROSPA Gold Award in two consecutive years and thanks to our proactive approach of review and assessment our accident rates have dropped year on year.
