COVID-19 update from Mabey Hire
In light of the government guidance regarding the COVID-19 virus outbreak, we have temporarily closed our depots with immediate effect.
Our focus, as always, is health, wellbeing and safety. We need to do our utmost to protect our people and our customers, but also the wider community. We have therefore taken the decision to close our depots until further notice.
During this difficult time, we have kept our depots open as long as possible, as we know the role our services play in helping deliver our customers’ key projects. However, with the unfolding situation, this is no longer a responsible option.
We will always be there for our customers, so our contingency plan is already in place and many of my team have already made a seamless transition to home working. Our sales and engineering teams, and our depot general managers will continue to be available for project design and support as required. They will be in regular contact to support your business in any way we can.
In the meantime, we have developed a straightforward guide to help site teams take steps to mitigate the risks of unplanned suspensions of site activity.
We will continue to support critical government construction projects, such as hospital builds, to ensure these vital services are in place. We will also still deliver our 24/7 emergency response, as we need to help ensure key utilities and infrastructure stays open and safe. All these services will be provided in line with government guidelines regarding social distancing and essential travel.
We are following government advice as closely as possible and as the situation changes, we will keep in touch via social media and our website.
