Recognising the difference volunteering makes in our local communities, we are excited to launch our very own Volunteering Policy.
Volunteering opportunities are incredibly diverse and focus on positively impacting a local community, from supporting vulnerable people in our society to helping to improve the environment. The very act of volunteering can also bring with it a sense of community, purpose and pride, providing us with valuable new skills and experiences.
That’s why we made it one of the key milestones in our ESG strategy, with our new Volunteering Policy outlining our commitment to employees who wish to volunteer during their working hours.
All full-time Mabey Hire employees are entitled to take up to two days off for volunteer leave per year, with part-time employees entitled to a pro rata equivalent.
Rhian Edwards, our HR Director, said: “We’re delighted to be launching our volunteering policy, with this social responsibility forming one of the cornerstones of our ESG strategy. We wish to encourage all employees to be involved in something they genuinely care about, while making a positive contribution to their local area, learning valuable new skills and gaining confidence.”
