Mabey Hire gains official supplier stamp of approval from Network Rail

Mabey Hire’s Monitoring team has had a number of its services verified with RISQS – Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme – by Network Rail. This scheme formally recognises suppliers as capable providers of products and services, and is assessed by a committee of respected representatives from across the rail industry.

RISQS awarded Mabey Hire with the verification for monitoring in the following supply codes: Remote Condition Monitoring, Geotechnical Monitoring, Bridge strike Monitoring, Specialist Site Services (including Surveying) - Non-Intrusive.

Having this certification means that Mabey Hire is now RISQS verified within Network Rail’s supply chain and can be invited to tender when the railway network owner has a monitoring requirement, whether structural or environmental.

Jake Kaufman, Mabey Hire’s Business Development Manager – Monitoring, comments: "We are delighted to have registration of the RISQS codes. It will remove barriers for us to tender to work on projects across the UK and will enable us to work ever closer with the Network Rail organisation."

Mabey Hire is already familiar with the RISQS framework. This verification is in addition to the RISQS accreditation which the company has had in place for a number of years.

Bob Paterson, Director of SHEQ & Compliance, Mabey Hire, said: “Separate to the process above, Mabey Hire has been successfully audited by Network Rail for 16 years now, giving us RISQS certification to the Industry Minimum Requirement and Sentinel modules. That means our teams are trained and competent to work trackside”.
