Jack has been invited to represent us at the annual Young Leaders' Tech Sprint, held as part of the annual Construction News Summit.
The Summit brings together construction and infrastructure organisations together to discuss current industry issues.
Working in teams, 20 young engineers from a range of leading companies were challenged to develop innovative ways to improve productivity in the sector.
"It's been great fun to work alongside young engineers from a wide range of different companies," said Jack. "Developing a good proposal in a matter of hours, and presenting to a panel of experts was a challenge. Our idea was to use a digital platform to help reduce the volume of un-necessary emails going around and ensure people had the information they really needed.
"The judges said that, of all the proposals, our idea was the one that could be used across a range of different industries and had many cost and time saving benefits. Sadly, that wasn't enough to win - but at least we made it very hard for the judges to choose.
"It's also been great to meet young engineers from other companies and swap stories about what we all do. It's clear to me that, particularly when it comes to digital engineering, we really are leading the way."
