We’re delighted to announce that we’ve signed the Armed Forces Covenant, showing our support and commitment to the Armed Forces and their families.
The Armed Forces Covenant is a pledge that together, we acknowledge and understand that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy and society they serve with their lives.
The Covenant supports serving personnel, service leavers, veterans, and their families, and is fulfilled by the different groups that have committed to making a difference.
Sean Kildunne, Resourcing Business Partner, comments: “Our pledge to the Armed Forces Covenant means that veterans feel comfortable in the knowledge that Mabey Hire understand, work with and help them throughout their journey behaving as a civilian in the workplace. Alongside our fundraising with Help for Heroes both of these areas of our business are hugely important!”
Tommie Ambery, BDM – Military, comments: “When I was a member of the Armed Forces transitioning into the civilian sector, it was a really nervous experience. Not knowing your worth to an industry and a civilian employer, can really impact your confidence in what role to aspire to and apply for.
“I can only thank Mabey Hire for giving me the opportunity for employment. It’s been exciting, rewarding and educational but most importantly, welcoming. They’ve been encouraging and supportive, building my confidence in the team to showcase my potential.
“As I am now a service leaver, I would recommend Mabey Hire to any future service leaver as a potential employer. The experience I’ve garnered in my short time here has been invaluable.”
